SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established school in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and learning activities
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback where appropriate
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support
- Experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Experience working within UK schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
